Right model for the job, every time.
GearHead does not lock you into one AI provider. The current live registry includes eligible choices from Deepseek, Anthropic, Openai and Google, and routing considers the work, account entitlements, availability, and policy before selecting a model.
Building on a single AI provider is a bet you don't need to make. The best model for legal research isn't the best model for code generation isn't the best model for long-document analysis. GearHead routes every task to the right model based on the work type, account entitlements, provider availability, latency requirements, and quality bar. When a provider releases a better model, the registry can be reviewed once and every customer-facing selector inherits the approved update.
What it does for you
How model routing actually works.
Multi-provider support
Deepseek, Anthropic, Openai and Google are represented in the current public model projection. Exact selectable models come from the live registry and the account's plan rather than this page.
Intent-based routing
The IntentRouter analyzes each request, is this legal research, code generation, customer email, long-doc analysis, brainstorming, factual lookup?, and picks the best-fit model.
Quality-cost tradeoff aware
Premium models for high-stakes work (legal, medical, financial). Cost-efficient models for high-volume routine work. You see the routing decisions, can override them, and tune cost-vs-quality at the policy level.
Multi-model consensus
For high-stakes outputs (Document Review, contract analysis, compliance checks), GearHead runs multiple models in parallel and surfaces only conclusions multiple models agree on. Hallucinations don't survive consensus checks.
Automatic upgrades
When providers release new models, GearHead can evaluate them and update the central registry. Routing, plan selectors, and this page then inherit the reviewed change without scattered model-name edits.
Pin per-task overrides
Choose an eligible model when you have a preference, or leave routing on automatic. Available choices are plan-aware and populated from the current registry.
From setup to running in minutes
Default routing works
Out of the box, GearHead routes intelligently. Most users never touch the model settings. The router picks the right tool for each ask.
See what was used
Every response shows which model handled it. Click for cost, latency, and routing rationale. Transparency on what's happening under the hood.
Override when needed
Pin specific models for specific task types. Set quality-vs-cost preferences at the account level. Premium-only mode for legal teams; cost-efficient mode for high-volume use.
Premium add-on for top-tier
The Premium Models add-on currently covers Claude Opus 5, Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol Max through finite weighted-message allowances. The list changes with the registry, not page copy.
Who's using Model Agnostic
Premium models for high-stakes work
A firm can choose among its eligible models for research, drafting, and long-document work while GearHead preserves the same tools, files, and memory context.
Cost-efficient default + premium for finals
A consultant can use an included standard model for daily work and switch to an eligible premium model for selected client-final deliverables without changing tools.
Speed-optimized routing
Field teams need responsive answers on the truck. Routing can favor eligible low-latency models for routine tasks while preserving capability and policy constraints.
Multi-model consensus for client copy
Agency uses multi-model consensus for client-final copy. Two or three models draft, GearHead surfaces the best blend. Quality work that doesn't rely on any single AI's biases.
Pairs well with
Model Agnostic is even more powerful when combined with these features.
